So many hikes to waterfalls in the Great Smoky Mountains offer a beautiful veiw of the forest and occassionally the layers of mountains can be seen along the way.   I have my favorites of course, But all hold a magical feeling that brings about a peace when you realize that the waterfall itself is taking care of us in some way.

Some hikes to the falls are more difficult than others. And, others are more visited by the tourists vacationing here and not wanting a long exercusion or a difficult hike.  My photos are not perfect with smooth water on many of the waterfalls.

I like to see the way the water moves.  I have not yet perfected the light  balance to the camera settings for the smooth water effect.  I will though, and hopefully you will be with me when this happens.

I am just as interested in the landscape, the colors of the forest and rock and moss as I am the waterfall. I hope you will join me on my next journey!  More to come!
