One of the most coveted trails in the Great Smoky Mountains is Alum Cave.  in the first mile, you are by the rivers and enjoying the beauty of the water and sounds, the next mile you climb a bit up to the Alum Bluff Cave.  With a couple spots for great views, the cave itself is so large and awe inspiring.   Beyond the cave, you continue to the top of the mountain to visit Mt. LeConte.  Even more breathtaking views along the way.  Here is an example below.
